The wonders of Walmart -

- No matter where you are in the world, the Walmart employees are all the same.
- No matter how much time you plan on spending in Walmart, it always ends up being more.
- No matter how much money you plan on spending in Walmart, it always ends up being more.

The genius of Walmart is that you walk in with a list of items and inevitably end up finding more items that you forgot that you "need".

I'm in Kansas City for a business trip and had some time to kill after work. Since I had a rental car and miss driving, I wandered around the city for a while. Within 3 miles, I must have passed at least 3 Walmarts, 2 Chili's, a Super Target, and Big Kmart. No mistaking it - I'm in the 'burbs.

I decided to stop by Walmart to pick up a few items. I ended up spending over an hour there and the final bill came out to $70+. I have no idea what I was thinking, except maybe that Walmart is awesome and so cheap. Not sure how I'm going to get everything back home. Good thing my luggage wasn't full when I was coming here...


P.S. It's the first time in over 10 yrs that I've seen a grown man wearing overalls. I did a double take.
