Memorial weekend

I spent the weekend in Raleigh with my nephew... and of course, his parents. It was a relaxing weekend, filled with fun places like Costco, Sam's, Dick's Sporting Goods, B&N, and Kroger's. Actually, it was a productive weekend for me. I picked up some books for my trip to Thailand/Cambodia, a softball glove, and luggage for the trip. The luggage wasn't 100% ideal, but it was a great deal from Costco. Plus I wanted to buy more stuff while I was down there and knew it wouldn't all fit in the carry-on duffle that I had brought.

My nephew is getting so big. He's almost 11 months old and I hadn't seen him since he was 2 weeks old. They grow so quickly... He's quite spoiled by his mom but I suppose that's only natural with the first child. I hope they have another child soon or else he's going to be spoiled to the point of no return. The biggest thing I noticed though was that my brother was incredibly happy. I don't think I've ever seen him that happy. It's obvious that he really loves his son and dotes on him. I can see why though. My nephew's such a cute baby and my brother loves to make him laugh.

I need to schedule another trip down there in the near future. I didn't have a chance to take any pics of the nephew (too busy trying to get him to play with me :P), so I'll have to make sure and do it next time!
