No pain, no gain
About half way into my run this morning, I knew I'd made a big mistake.
It was a mistake thinking I could run a 10k without having run in over a month.
It was a mistake thinking I could run a 10k without having run over 5k in a year.
It was a mistake thinking I could run a 10k on an empty stomach.
It was a mistake thinking I could run a 10k without having had much sleep the night before.
It was a mistake thinking that my knee would hold up in a 10k without having strengthened the muscles prior.
I came home and immediately popped 2 ibuprofen. What a miracle drugs can be. I felt great mentally after the race, but physically I'll be paying dearly...
