Random night

Much props to PM. They sure know how to throw a party. I have some friends in town from LA for a work convention, which had a kick-off party last night. The party was fairly lavish with an open bar, wait staff carrying around hors d'oeuveres of crab cakes, veggie samosas, shrimp kebabs, etc. and a huge selection of Godiva chocolates for dessert. They even had "dancers" spread around the club floor who were trying to earn "prodollars". Fortunately for me, the dancers were mostly male (go figure at a club in Chelsea) but there were a couple of women that danced for maybe 30 min for the enjoyment of the straight males in the crowd. One girl in our group placed some money in a female dancer's bikini and noted that it was "all prickly" in that area. I guess the female dancers weren't expecting much attention.

Anyway, the party officially ended at midnight, but the group I was with decided to continue the party next door at a place made famous by Howard Stern. Since getting entertained at that place is fairly expensive, the group I was with decided to make their own entertainment. One of the girls in the group decided to try her hand at amateur stripping, at least I assume she was an amateur. (It's quite dangerous to go from an open bar party to an establishment that encourages people to take their clothes off.) She did look quite comfortable on stage though. The dancers were having a lot of fun with her too. You could tell they were pretty bored just dancing alone on stage so they welcomed the company. Someone finally had the good sense to drag their colleague off-stage and call it a night. I wonder if she regrets it or if she's considering a career change now.
