Sleepy

Do you ever notice that no matter how tired you are, it's still not possible to get to sleep early? I didn't get much sleep over the weekend and was struggling to stay awake during my meetings today.

I wanted to go directly home and get to sleep early tonight, but that didn't happen. Instead, I went out to dinner at Maroon's. Despite the review, I didn't notice any attitude at the restaurant. However, they could easily have pulled off a bit of arrogance as Kanye West was dining there tonight, just two tables down from us. I noticed him as a I walked in and glanced back at my friend to verify. Just the look on his face gave me the reassurance I needed. I couldn't help but glance down at his table every once in a while during dinner. The portions that he and his friends received were definitely more generous than the average patron's, but at least the restaurant served him a bill at the end rather than comp'ing his meal. His friend paid for it. Nice.

Overall, the food was pretty good. It's no Amy Ruth's though. I think I'll still be traveling to Harlem for true Southern soul food.
