Let's Go Ran-gers

After coming back from a quick but tiring weekend, I headed out to the Rangers-Yankees game with a friend tonight. It was an awesome game, except that it got colder as the night wore on. The Yankees were up by 2 runs going into the 5th inning, but the Rangers managed to tie it up. It stayed tied at 2 until the 8th inning. At the bottom of the inning, the rain really started to come down. Luckily it didn't affect us as we were sitting in the covered area of right field (great seats on the field). The bad part was that I was worried that the game would be called at the bottom of the 7th and the Rangers 2 run lead would get wiped out. Fortunately, right after the field team pulled out the tarp, the rain stopped. Long story short (or maybe it's too late for that), the Yankees weren't able to make anything of the last two innings and the Rangers walked away with a win. Way to go Texas!!

Baseball makes a little more sense now that I've started playing on a softball team. I'm hoping to learn more as I play more. Maybe one day I'll even be able to recognize the different pitches. They all look like fastballs to me...

Side notes: I was the only one cheering against the Yankees. I was a little afraid I'd get jumped. Also, no one asked to finish my pretzel.
