Out of space

Well, it's finally happened. It didn't take long, but I'm out of space on my 60GB external hard drive. Now the debate is whether to buy a bigger hd or to just burn my data onto CD's and clean off my existing drive. I've been debating whether to buy a bigger drive for a while now. The one I currently have is small enough to be easily portable so I've dropped it more than once and even spilled liquids on it once... basically I've had more than one scare where I thought I lost everything. It'd be nice to have one that's sturdier.

The advantages to burning data onto CD's are the cost savings of purchasing a new drive and utilizing blank discs I currently have that might never be used otherwise. The advantages of purchasing another hard drive are to eliminate the need to burn and potential process failure, the lack of stress related to scratching up discs and possibly losing all data, and ease of cataloguing.

The third option would be to purchase a new hard drive and burn the data as back-up.

Option C seems like the safest.
