Wiiiiii

I bought my brother a Wii for Christmas. Since I was leaving Houston Christmas day, I persuaded everyone to open one gift a few days early so I could satisfy my wee curiousity (pun intended). And I must admit, it's as much fun as everyone says. And just as dangerous too. I'm not sure how it happened, but my brother and I were playing virtual tennis when his thumb started bleeding. He apparently had perforated the skin under his nail somehow. Still not sure how it happened. There was also a separate tennis incident where I probably would have broken the only tv in the house if I hadn't have had the strap on tightly. Our main tv had broken a few days before we came home, so there was only the smaller spare tv upstairs for use. And somehow my brother and I monopolized it for Wii time but my sister-in-law made a valiant effort at stealing it away to watch Chinese soap operas whenever she had a chance - in between the Wii and my spoiled nephew. So it would have been a disaster if I had accidentally launched the controller through the set.

I'm happy to note that I was the champion bowler in the family with a come-from-behind turkey in the tenth frame. I was also able to beat my brother a few times in both boxing and tennis. Boxing is quite the workout! We were both quite exhausted by the end - not to mention pretty sore the next day. I felt muscles that I probably hadn't used in years.

So for anyone out there that's into gaming, I would recommend checking out the Wii. And definitely get the replacement strap...
