Will I?

The other morning I was listening to the Rent soundtrack on my Ipod on the way to work. The track for the song Will I? came on just as I was walking through the shuttle tunnel in Grand Central. A train had just pulled in and there was suddenly a flood of people walking towards me, as I alone was walking against the traffic.

I suddenly felt a sense of aloneness amidst a sea of people in New York City. I was in a bit of a melancholy mood (possibly as a result of the song) so the whole experience was very surreal - as if I were a character in Rent, relating to the song. I felt like I could have been shooting the video for the song.

Anyone that hasn't seen Rent should definitely see the musical. I highly recommend the musical over the movie but if that's not an option, at the very least, check out the movie.
